Before actually starting my 5 minute radio jingle, I had to deconstruct many radio broadcasts so I can pick out the normal conventions of them. I had to listen to the tone's of the DJ, the pace of the broadcasts, how many stories they were in 5 minutes and how quick each one was read.
This is what I had based my own 5 minute jingle on. I also had to choose the stories that I was going to present in my broadcast.
As a group of 4 we both divided the roles as the Presesnter(Inside the Studio), Outside Broadcaster( Person outside reporting a serious story), Education Minister( She is visiting in the Studio), and a funny story(which someone had rang in).
Above are some of the conventions of a short Radio Broadcast that my Jingle was based on.
